Pattern Stamping allows the look of Natural stone or pavers, at a percentage of the cost. Pattern stamping new Concrete provides the most realistic look in all the stamping alternatives. The new concrete can be integrally colored or the color can be broadcast into the surface after the concrete pour with color hardeners or both. Additional color hardeners can be flashed into the surface to create a more realistic look by having a different color as would a natural stone. Antiquing releases are used to broadcast as well into the surface just prior to stamping. This allows for a more realistic aged appearance.

Over-layment stamping can be a more cost efficient alternative with several conditions and exceptions. There must be an existing concrete substrate which is sound and capable of accepting a mechanical cleaning. The over-layment is integrally colored and can be applied to ¾” thick. Additional Coloring can be achieved by antiquing release and accenting with acid stain. There are various patterns available to choose from.
